SQL Web Grid Editor is a cross-browser grid component designed to display, edit and sort tabular data from database. Made in JavaScript, the grid content can be imported from Xml/Ajax/Json data source. Methods for converting database to Xml are giving for PHP/MySQL and .Net/SQL-Server users. Grid design controlled by Cascading Style Sheet (CSS).
The component enables flexible data sorting (boolean, string, integer, date, etc) and filtering (ex: by region, street, name, etc). Set columns to read-only columns, multiline headers, merge two or more database table into one grid display, three filters and sorts keys, display/hide/resize columns. Events, properties and methods handlers let you add necessary interactivity between SQL-database and the grid. Illimited table join (relationship between parent grid and child grid). Live tracking/withdraw of row change. Insert/Delete row. Support UTF-8 character.
Set columns format to any rendering format you want (ex: accounting, date, etc). Data entry respect the columns format (ex: you can only type number into an integer column). The grid already supports a wide variety of cell formats such as string, string strict (a-z/A-Z only), int, date, float, picture, hyperlink, select (listbox), checkbox (boolean). Paging ready. Extendable architecture enables any data type input to be add. Support keyboard navigation and Excel style table edition. The developer has access to documentation explaining step-by-step how the grid works. Save from 50 to 90% development time.
